#LBLG :: #LocalBrew :: Ritual Brewing

We are very excited about the brewery lineup we have at our Local Brews Local Grooves event on Oct. 25th at the House of Blues, Anaheim. One of our featured breweries is Ritual Brewing from Redlands.

Ritual is a production microbrewery meaning its primary focus is producing packaged beer for distribution to restaurants, bars and stores.  We will have a tasting area and offer tours and other special events to allow people to experience the brewery, learn about craft beer and how it’s made, and enjoy Ritual beer fresh from the brewery.  The brewery itself is 23,000 square feet housing a 30 barrel brewhouse built to our specifications.

Wit’s End – Belgian Style Witbier

ABV: 4.8 | IBU: n/a

Gold Medal – 2013 CA State Fair Craft Beer Competition

Ritual’s take on the classic Belgian style Witbier. We begin with the finest Belgian 2-row malt along with unmalted wheat and barley for a truly authentic and complex base. We then spice it up with a dose of orange zest from our local orange groves, coriander and other spices. The result is a hazy, light-colored beer that is crowned with a long-lasting foam collar leaving a distinctive “Brussels Lace” on the inside of the glass.

The delightful citrus nose and refreshing nature of this soft and supple beer quenches the thirst while gently scrubbing away the issues of the day. This beer stands alone as a wonderful session beer and also pairs well with lighter fare such as seafood, orange chicken, salads and sunny days.

Monk’s Lunch – Belgian Style Enkel

ABV: 4.5% | IBU: 29

While most savvy beer consumers have heard of Belgian Dubbels, Tripels and Quadruples, few have ever had a Belgian-style Enkel, meaning “Single”. This is an ale rarely, if ever, brewed on the West Coast, let alone America.

Typically, Monk’s Lunch is brewed only at Trappist Monasteries for the monks to enjoy with meals. They often drink only half a bottle with lunch and the rest with supper, despite the beer’s low alcohol content. This beer is modest in strength, robed in warm, golden hues and soft on the palate with a smooth, dry finish.

Hop-O-Matic – India Pale Ale

ABV: 7.1% | IBU: 80

From the sharp aromatics of citrusy pine that permeates your nostrils to the hefty malt backbone, Hop-O-Matic will slice and dice its way through your palate! But wait, there’s more! This refreshing India Pale Ale highlights the avid appreciation we have of the finer, bold nuances of our little green friends by imparting a delightfully playful nose and even livelier mouthfeel.

A herbaceously spicy, pungent, and dank brew. This fragrant beer imparts an initial blast of bitterness that gives way to sweet, toasty malts and a zesty citrus profile, then takes it up ten notches with a complex mélange of hops that won’t go down without a fight. What can we say? We’re proud of this one.

Barrel Aged Fat Hog – Barrel Aged Barleywine

ABV: 12% | IBU: n/a

Silver Medal – 2013 CA State Fair Craft Beer Competition

Our Barleywine Style Ale boasts a dense, fruity bouquet, an intense flavor palate and a deep reddish-brown color. Its big malty flavors are superbly balanced by a wonderfully bittersweet hoppiness. This beer ages very well developing complex sherry-like notes.

Barrel Aged Big Deluxe – Barrel Aged Russian Style Imperial Stout

ABV: 12.2% | IBU: 85

This unique beer features a massive wall of flavor and is so dark it actually absorbs light – at least we think it does!

This deeply rich and complex Russian Style Imperial Stout is brewed with no less than 10 different malts, resulting in the formation of a mammoth, T-Rex sized backbone.

We brewed this one with oats to add an additional layer of silkinessto make this a truly amazing beer. Sip slowly with a friend and enjoy the rich flavors. While the ABV clocks in at 12.2%, the finish is roasty and rich with no heat.
